"It’s probably best for them to battle through the train strikes and get to the North of France, Ferries across the channel have a lot of capacity but ferries in North Spain which would be the alternative option are full in most cases. You should be able to set everything up from where you are now and move whenever you are able. that will be the hardest part. having some money of your own will make it easier. if not you could try getting legal support.
