Travel from the US to Sweden

I am trying to find a flightless way to get from the United States to Sweden in July of 2012.
I will be in Texas but could most likely get to any place on the East Coast without too much hassle.
Any suggestions?

Trying to get from the US to Europe without flying is hard, the only low carbon option is a cargo ship but they are not as cheap as you might think, if you have a lot of money then you can do it by cruise ship although the carbon emissions from these can be worse than flying, it's a tough one! :?
